Boston Whaler Owners Club Code of Conduct
The Boston Whaler Owners Club Web site and the contacts and conversations that are generated between members here are dedicated to the ideas, experiences, knowledge and suggestions on the subject of Boston Whaler boats. We ask that members observe the following guidelines to ensure a positive experience for all concerned.
- We embrace your diversity of opinions and values, but we insist that your content may not include anything unacceptable. This is, or course, a family site, so please, no questionable language, pictures or links in your communications. Other unacceptable content includes anything that:
- Is being used to abuse, harass, stalk or threaten a person or persons
- Is libelous, defamatory, knowingly false or misrepresents another person
- Infringes upon any copyright, trademark, trade secret or patent of any third party. (If you quote or excerpt someone's content, it is your responsibility to provide proper attribution to the original author.)
- Violates any obligation of confidentiality
- Violates the privacy, publicity, moral or any other right of any third party
- No commercial messages may be posted – buying, selling or trading of products and/or services – anything that contains editorial content that has been commissioned and paid for by a third party, (either cash or goods in barter), and/or contains paid advertising links and/or SPAM.

- We ask that you avoid denigration of any boat brand.
- Don't say anything online that you wouldn't say in person.
- Be courteous.
- Give accurate information in the spirit of being helpful.
- Respectfully disagree.
- Use the correct venue for your post.
- Admit the possibility of fault and respect different points of views.
- If you make a mistake, take responsibility for your actions.
